Welcome to my website. My name is Susanne Braun and I’m a Dutch handmade watercolor maker and mandala artist.
I started drawing mandalas in 2008 and what began as a hobby soon changed and became a real passion of mine. Creating mandalas brings balance in my lovely but busy life. It also creates inner peace, the time of being in the moment and just going with the flow. That is such an amazing and blessed feeling. We are all creative human beings and my intention of sharing my art with you is to inspire you and unlock the creativity in you.
In October 2017 I decided to follow another passion of mine, making my own, high in pigment handmade watercolor line. I started with experimenting and testing pigments, binders and mulling pigments and after a couple of weeks I’ve created my high in pigment Suuszenart handmade watercolor line.
The proces of making handmade watercolors is very time consuming and requires a lot of patience. Suuszenart handmade watercolors are non toxic and contains pigment, gum arabic, glycerine and a natural preservative. These ingredients are mulled by hand on a glass slab. Suuszenart handmade watercolors are high in pigment, not grainy and when adding water to the watercolors they turn into a liquid watercolor. You can compare it with watercolors that come out of tubes. The curing proces takes about 3/4 weeks depending on which pigment is used.
My handmade watercolors can be purchased in my Etsy shop If you want a custom Travel Tin Paint Set with my handmade watercolors you can send me an email suuszenart@gmail.com Feel free to take a look around on my website and feel free to leave a comment.
Creative greetings
Susanne
